Skip prerequisite checks for installation Sonia Client

To install the Sonia Client, you will be provided a link and this will take you to a page similar to this:

There are two options to install the Sonia Client from here. The most obvious option is:

1. Install: This button will run some initial checks on your system to ensure you have the correct underlying software that Sonia relies upon, and if not, it will attempt to automatically install it. Then, Sonia Client will be installed.

However, issues can arise here when you do not have the necessary permissions to install software without IT inputting a password, and so installing the Sonia Client can be delayed. Moreover, you may run into an error when attempting this method due to changes in the underlying software not being able to complete the check process. In these cases, we recommend you attempt option two:

2. Launch: Above the Install button is a sentence explaining that if the prerequisite components are installed (or as described here, if you run into a password requirement or an error) then click on the launch hyperlink, which will simply proceed with installing the Sonia Client.

Ultimately, if your computer does not have the prerequisite components installed then Sonia will not run, and you will need to speak with your IT.
