A workflow in Sonia is a way to wrap up a series of actions or steps that you can assign to a person. It is a bit like a "macro" in Excel.
Once you understand how to design and use Sonia workflows, it will lead to less effort on your behalf and far less chance of missing a process.
Give me an example!
OK, here is a simple example of what a workflow could do:
When I've finished allocating my students I need to do the following:
- give each student a form - "placement acknowledgement"
- send the student an email to do the form
- wait until the placement agreement has been signed
- send the student's mentor a welcome email
- wait until 2 days before the end of placement
- assign an evaluation form to the student
ALL of this can be done with a simple workflow.
A Zen guide is available below the video.
